toronto jazz fest

problem
The Toronto Jazz Festival features many performances and artists, which can make it challenging for a single poster to stand out and quickly communicate the energy of the event. the goal was to create a poster that captures attention while visually representing the rhythm, movement, and vibrancy of jazz.
insight
jazz is expressive, dynamic, and layered.iIts rhythm and improvisation can be translated visually through movement, repetition, and radial graphic elements that reflect the flow and energy of music.
solution
i designed a bold poster using radial-inspired graphics and a dynamic composition to represent the rhythm of jazz. the idea began with hand-drawn sketches, exploring different layout directions before developing digital proofs. through several rounds of feedback and refinement, the final poster evolved into a strong visual that captures attention and reflects the lively atmosphere of the festival.

this concept began as a rough sketch, where i explored the initial layout and visual direction for the piece. starting with hand-drawn ideas allowed me to quickly experiment with composition and graphic elements before moving into digital development.
