freeze the moment

problem
Buying ice at Petro-Canada is a familiar and routine stop for many Canadians. the freezer door naturally frames the moment, turning a simple purchase into a snapshot of everyday life across Canada.
insight
the freezer becomes a nostalgic portal. each time the door opens, it frames a different Canadian moment, capturing small, relatable scenes while the simple ritual of grabbing a bag of ice stays the same.
solution
to bring the idea to life, customers are invited to share their own Canadian moments. to participate, people can upload a photo of a fond memory from a trip in Canada, or take a picture at a Petro-Canada photobooth and submit it to the campaign. selected photos become part of the campaign visuals, celebrating real moments and memories from across the country.

i had the chance to pitch the idea to the team at McCann Canada, walking them through the insight, creative direction, and how the campaign could engage Canadians through shared memories and everyday moments.
